Purpose of Consultation

The 30-minute complimentary consultation is provided to facilitate a preliminary discussion of your legal issues with a registered attorney from N. Ngcobo Attorneys Incorporated (NNA). This consultation aims to assist in determining whether further legal services or a more detailed consultation is required.

The consultation is conducted exclusively online and adheres to the regulatory framework stipulated under South African law, including the Legal Practice Act 28 of 2014 and relevant professional conduct regulations.

No Creation of Attorney-Client Relationship

Participation in the consultation does not constitute or imply the formation of an attorney-client relationship with NNA.

You are under no obligation to retain NNA's services following the consultation. You may freely choose to engage NNA or seek legal representation from another provider.

Post-Consultation Procedures

Should you decide to proceed with NNA for further legal representation, you must formally engage NNA by executing a retainer agreement and paying applicable fees for additional legal services.

The consultation is limited to providing general information and initial guidance. It does not constitute formal legal advice or a legal opinion. Formal legal services will only commence upon the formal establishment of an attorney-client relationship through a retainer agreement.

Legal Framework

The consultations are conducted in accordance with the Legal Practice Act 28 of 2014, which governs the practice of law in South Africa.

All consultations are subject to the professional conduct rules and ethical standards established by the South African Law Society.

Scheduling and Availability

To request a consultation, you must complete the online scheduling form, providing your preferred dates, times, and general availability.

After submitting the form, NNA will review your request and contact you directly to confirm a specific appointment time with one of our registered attorneys. Submission of the form does not automatically book the appointment.

Appointment slots are subject to availability and may be adjusted based on the schedules of our attorneys. NNA reserves the right to modify available time slots and will work with you to finalize an appointment at a mutually convenient time.

Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy

Cancellations or requests for rescheduling must be communicated at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled appointment through the booking platform or by the provided contact details.

Failure to provide at least 24 hours' notice will result in the forfeiture of the consultation slot, with no alternative slot offered.

Confidentiality and Data Protection

Information disclosed during the consultation will be treated as confidential in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) and our privacy policy.

Despite implementing reasonable measures to protect data, NNA cannot guarantee absolute confidentiality or security of online communications.

Technical Requirements

You are responsible for ensuring that you have the necessary technological resources, including hardware and software, to participate in the online consultation.

NNA disclaims any liability for technical failures or disruptions that may affect the consultation.

Limitation of Liability

NNA shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from or related to the consultation or the information provided during the consultation.

Amendments to Terms

NNA reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. Any amendments will be posted on our website. Continued use of the consultation services following such amendments constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of South Africa.
